i used to chew this. the lime(white powder) is crushed corals, it cuts your gum so the psychoative compound in the betel nut called arecoline will get into your blood system. the more lime you put, the more it cuts your gum and could hurt later. you add half or 1 stick of cigarette for nictone boost (you can also add redman or any chewing tobacco) and the green cone shape looking thing is the flower of the betel leaf plant. it makes your spit red and without it, it will just be brown spit. u could either use the betel leaf or the flower, it's recommended for flavor. the betel leaf plant, piper betle, has a spice flavor.

For eating beetle nut go to India, they know how to use it with beetle leaves and other things, it tastes good

In india this is called paan. You put crushed betel nut, bit of limestone, and chewing tobacco in a betel leaf and eat it. It doesn't get you high or anything.
Of course the non addiction version is to put various candied stuff inside the betel leaf and eat.

Watching everybody try betel nut for the first time on these shows especially the ones where they do it in different countries but it's the same thing and they don't realize it, they all seem to think it's food for some reason and then they realize that it's a stimulant
