Amazon workers get injured at twice the rate of competing companies. They use viscous anti union measures against its own employees and the most vulnerable people in our society who still have to work. I worked at Amazon for 6 months, they'd chew you out for processing 3 items wrong out of 5300 others completed correctly. They'll come to you while you are working and chew you out for periods of work where you slow down - now imagine being expected to be working at break neck speeds while being chewed out for not working at break neck speeds 100% of the time I am inside of the building. Two 15 minute breaks and One 30 minute lunch but when you step off your workstation it takes 6 minutes to get to a designated break area (the only place with chairs) and then u gotta wait in line for 3 minutes to clock out because there are hundreds of ppl trying to do it at once and the electronic system lags. I would just take the 15 minute breaks right at my station and sit on my little ladder (against the rules) but it was more of a rest than going to a break room plus i can cut the actual 15 minute break to 10 and get a 5 minute head start on the work. I remember prime day and the holiday season we all had to work mandatory overtime, it was pretty grueling work. They expect you to work like an engine but with a brick on the pedal all day, non stop - like the robots they engineered. Also the large machines that accepted our bins of processed items (u can see the big yellow bins) regularly broke down causing you to not be able to work - now this counted against your items processed an hour of course so u call the special guy to come and fix it but he doesn't come for 10 minutes so you have to stick your arm in the thing and try and un stick a large plastic bin amongst the machinery. I could go on and on baby..
