Most folks don’t understand how difficult and uncomfortable at times it is to make a video like this. Nice job! I like the fact that you didn’t have anything edited.

Thats how you do a 6010 root pass. Its not rocket science. That was a good explanation without talking too much. I noticed he didnt backgrind his restarts You don really need to do that either. Just keep your keyhole as even as you can. Also its not really a whip its more of a stitch.

Would you do this same up down motion with 6011?

Look like a bunch of haters in the chat. Safely hiding behind their keyboards not showing their own work but criticizing others.

Each one teach one.

Thank you Jack for the demonstration and the knowledge

In my class we have to run a 3 stringer cap. I have failed 2 tests because something goes wrong, but they cannot explain why.

The most important thing on a 6010 open root is the pentration on back side, why didnt they show that? The cover pass needed more weld metal on edges. Why didnt you grind and cut coupons and bend a root and a face?

No undercut my ass. If you're going to show how to pass a test maybe try doing it as you would do the test. No tests done b/c it would tear apart.

This appears to be like our school system by just prepairing for plate test. These students need alot more practice on all joints. They pay a ton of money and dont have the skills to run their own rig in 8 months. Stop deceiving these students besides that most jobs are done with hardwire dual shield for spray transfer stick welding is primarily in the field
