I've been through two wars, lost my older brother in the second one. This reminds me of the sheer terror we'd been through. Take care my brothers in arms. God bless you all.

There will never be music like this ever again. That is such a shame.

I remember this song from my High School days in the 10th grade, on a long weekend canoe trip in Florida with the BSA Explorer post, one of the guys had this song on his tape recorder. My biggest concern back then was homework and mowing neighborhood lawns to make money for my first car. The following year I became of age to register for the draft, Mom and Dad were scared I'd be drafted and sent to Vietnam. I on the other hand actually tried to enlist, I wanted to serve the country that let my family and I migrate from West Germany, but I was given a 4-F draft rating and was therefore deemed physically unfit to enter the Military.

This is the cleanest sound on this song that I've heard in years! Thank you. I love it.

I was a Marine and it’s so sad how these individuals were treated! Spit on, getting rocks anything people could get there hands on to throw at them. It’s not like they had a chance like myself, or others. These poor men were drafted! I also lost a best friend in Afghanistan! All pointless wars! Money, and greed!!! Ugh, the U.S!!!!

CCR came very close to the reality with their songs. This era brought lots of suffering to the ones that fought. Lets never forget them….
