Leave voters shouldn't be afraid of a second refferendum, they always seem so confident that the vote will turn out the same. So why are they so afraid of it?

Even in there is a second vote and by some miracle it’s a vote to fully remain, the UK should not be allowed to stay on the same terms. They caused this mess and have cost the EU and other member states large sums of money. Even here in NL, we have seen investment drop that is accredited to the report that states a no deal Brexit would hit us hard. In addition, our taxes have gone on Brexit preparations that we have had to pay for because of a foreign people’s decision. So even if there is a second referendum, the UK should not be allowed to keep its current place and should have to reimburse the European taxpayer for the UK’s foolishness

A Second Referendum is NOT democratic. The British already voted.

I think their might be a second referendum, however I don't expect people would have happy with those 3 options being offered at the same time. This is since it's most likely that the 2 'leave' style options would split, meaning that remain would automatically win. Therefore, instead, the question should be asked in 2 different votes.

1/ Accept or reject the deal
2/ If Reject wins; leave without a deal or rejoin the EU

If accept wins, there isn't the need for the second vote, as the process would have been concluded.

The three-way vote would be unfair as it would create a division in the leave side of the vote splitting the vote to be 25% Hard Brexit, 25% Soft Brexit while the Remain side would remain unified at 50%, for this vote to be fair it should incorporate the first vote into the second vote, this vote would look like a question like "are you in favour of leaving? If so which kind of Brexit would you like to see Hard or soft?" So, for example, the Leave side wins and soft Brexit also wins then that shall be the outcome. But feel free to scrutinise this idea of course.

Why do so many comments say this video is biased? No one has pointed out a single factual error.

This ‘second’ referendum would actually be the first actually voting on concrete facts of what it means to leave. Leaving was purely an idea - no white paper, no deal at all. This would be informed, and neither side could lie, and make up fanciful claims - like on the bus - since the deal is written down.

A second referendum is the fairest option because it allows people to vote better informed now that we have more information on the consequences. It doesn't stop those who still want to leave to vote for Brexit, but it allows those who now want to remain, in the light of new information, to vote accordingly. If a second referendum results in a majority vote to remain, which is very probable, we have nevertheless lost all chance of keeping the concessions that Cameron had negotiated so we would creep back with our tail between our legs. We are really up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

Lot of comments by people who don't want a 2nd Ref. If it's the "will of the people" to leave, surely you guy's would win the 2nd Ref, too.

isnt asking a second time more democratic than not voting a second time?

People were misled by by the Brexit campaign that is a fact, but they won't admit it so they will go with it out of some kind of pride and still vote with "ahhh never mind let's just leave anyways". Admitting you were wrong is very hard for most people so they will double down even if it is the wrong choice.

I absolutely believe that there should be another referendum because this video was on point. Brexit wasn't clearly defined from the initial referendum, and was subject to Russian Interference, Campaign Overspending, and Cambridge Analytica. There is also the human factor to consider. Millions, and I mean literally millions of people's livelihoods are on the line. It's the only way to be absolutely sure this is what we want as a people. I voted to Remain, I believe Brexit is a mistake that we made, and I still believe it to be a mistake we made. No version of Leaving the European Union will make us better off. A Soft Brexit relinquishes our say in the decision-making process in Europe, and a Hard Brexit will be too devastating to our economy. There are people on both sides of the fence that are getting scared over this, and rightfully so. Therefore, I will repeat: There ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO BE ANOTHER REFERENDUM. I will also add that British Citizens throughout Europe should have the legal right to vote in it, regardless of how long they've been away from Britain, because they were affected by the initial vote, and had no say in its outcome.

Absolutely. Article 50 can be revoked at any point before the leaving date. If it's a matter of time to organize/inform, a referendum over the final deal is one of the few things the EU would grant an extension of the deadline for.

I’d agree with a second referendum because of the lies and misinformation.

As someone who was too young to vote in the original referendum, I would very much support a second referendum. And I know there are many others like me

Before I continue, we were told if we voted to leave we would be voting to leave the custom union and the single market, loads of strongerin campaigners warned about that. So Yes Leave was a FULL exit. not a in and out.

@TLDR News

How will a remaining in the EU be possible. I'm not British nor do I live in the UK.
I'm very much pro EU and see us as a big family where each and every member has "his/her" specialities. And he/she should and will keep it.

I know, that there are not all wanting to leave, BUT … the countries government chose to go down the path of leaving ... of cutting every tie with the EU, just because they didn't want to give in, because they didn't want to explain to the minority, that the thing THEY wanted is not achievable.

How can "we", the other 27 EU-members, trust the UK again? Why should we accept a country in our midst, that wasn't committed to the ideas of EU, where a PM had to negotiate a rebate on membership cost, another an exemption from a common currency and from being part of a borderless body (pulling Ireland into that), that was willing to leave because the its citizens didn't see the benefits.

If you ask me, the only thing, that would make ME regain trust is, if the UK committed itself fully to the EU ... without any exemptions. And (sorry), that will not happen.
And otherwise the UK will just be a cadger, profitting from the EU ... without the will to build an equal Europe.

A second referendum is the only rational thing to do.
If Brexiteers are sure that this is the will of their country then there should be no reason why they would reject it !
