'Ridiculous idea': Chalmers denies growing wages are driving inflation
Показать описание
Treasurer Jim Chalmers says the idea that there is a wage-price spiral in the economy is “ridiculous”.
“I think it’s important we broaden our conversation beyond this ridiculous idea we have a wage-price spiral,” Mr Chalmers said in a media conference on Wednesday.
“We don’t have inflation because wages are growing quickly.
“One of the problems is that wage growth has been too stagnant."
