A touch of summer to start the year! Geneva's flower clock is a rock star within the city guidebooks. Tourists constantly stop in front of it to take pictures of themselves with it. Actually, in the summertime this almost never stops. Created in 1955, the flower clock has become a symbol of the city that is as famous as the Jet d'eau fountain, for instance. It is powered by an electronic engine controlled by satellites that reposition the hands correctly if they are moved. This happens sometimes, mainly at night, when enthusiastic night birds start playing with it. The “flower clock" name comes from the floral arrangements that create the dial and are changed regularly during the year. Recently, local watch enthusiasts have expressed the desire to create a new movement powered by water that would be taken from the lake.

Well.... since Geneva is the mother land of high end watch making i don't think there wouldn't  be any other monument that would clearly  characterise a visit
