"I keep forgetting that you never did". That line hits HARD if you've lost someone close who didn't get to meet your family..

The fact that Linda made it in honor of Bobs mother is beautiful. She struggled to make scarfs (which Gene, Tina and Louise all loved) so you can tell Linda put a lot of time in it to make it for her.

You can really feel how Bob's trying not to cry as he talks about his mom

The sunlight makes Bob's mom look angelic, cause that's how he remembers her.

Little Bob toddling along and giving such a big, unprompted smile to Lily is just so sweet, it makes me tear up…

Her colors match Bob's kids. Pink hat, yellow shirt, dark blue pants. Tina wears a skirt but the colors match.

I silently cried in the theater during this scene. Mostly because I lost my Mom this year & we had plans to watch this with my other siblings. I watched it alone but felt her presence with me, like we planned…

The fact that Louise remembered something from her childhood completely differently from how it really happened is so realistic.

one line that sticks out to me is when bob says "do you not remember it that way?" as a someone who was gaslit a lot growing up, hearing that specific phrasing about a childhood memory differing from what actually happened feels...really validating.

I’ve loved Bob’s Burgers for a very long time. I understand why people don’t like it, but I just appreciate an adult centered cartoon where a family isn’t unbelievably toxic and hateful to each other and are instead loving and supportive. This scene though catapulted it so much more… It was so heartwarming.

I decided to rewatch the series from the beginning and I wanted to say, in case nobody noticed, that the music playing in the scene that starts with Bob and his mom is the same music that play in the first episode ‘Human Flesh.’

As Bob is standing in front of the restaurant, talking to his reflection the music starts. I think it’s a good connection to the series and also a reminder that, no matter what happens, nothing goes really goes on in the show that isn’t necessarily unbelievable. It’s a show about a regular man and his regular family and how they’re just trying to live their regular lives.

“You remind me of my mom, lousie. And with the hat. It’s kinda like you two met I kept forgetting that you never did.”
That’s by far my favorite line in whole movie.

0:21 Man I feel like bob really wanted to cry in that moment.

This scene genuinely made me tear up when I saw it in the cinema, I was always fascinated by the air of mystery and sadness around Bob's late mother.

With her latest cameo in Season 12 I thought it was super nice to finally get to see her face after all these years.

I saw a theory that bobs mom wore the hat even in warm weather possibly to hide hair loss due to an under lying illness like cancer. Would explain a lot. Tore me up :’(

I love that bob and linda aren't just characters in the same show with higher authority than the kids. that's a genuine parental moment that has nothing to do with giving orders or disciplining or anything, they're characters with a history. the simpsons don't have that, or the griffins or most adult animated families, the belchers do

Louise slapped a kid in her first day of preschool.
Jup, that sounds like Louise.

When i firts saw this scene, ( via a linked footage scene video ) i thought that his mom's face was covered by the sun, making her seem like a mysterious character but in fact it was for the bad quality of the footage Lol , but it was interesting

Before going to see this movie, I predicted to my wife that because it was a movie, they’d do something they’d never do in the TV show, like show Louise without her ears (like how they showed Kenny’s face in The South Park Movie). I personally thought this would be a bit cheap and when she referenced her ears in the opening song, I thought my prediction was confirmed.

I’m so grateful they went with this emotional gut punch instead.
