Russia Shoots Down Passenger Jet… Again

Russia is being accused of shooting down an Azerbaijan Airlines plane on Christmas, killing 38. The plane was reportedly hit by a Russian surface to air missile. This is backed up by passengers and crew being hit with shrapnel from the missile. Russia would not allow the airline to land at any Russian airports despite requests for an emergency landing and instead ordered it to fly across the Caspian sea to Kazakhstan and then they jammed their GPS signals for the rest of their flight until they crashed in Kazakhstan. It does appear currently like it was an accident because earlier in the day, air defense in the region was intercepting Ukrainian drones. But it’s not clear why Russia decided the plane needed to crash outside of what appears to be a certain attempt to try to cover up that they have now shot down yet another commercial aircraft. With Azeri media saying that Russia wanted the plane to crash into the sea in hopes of eliminating any evidence of their attack. Azerbaijan has demanded that Russia take responsibility, give a formal apology, and take accountability…. Good luck with that.
