I like the fact that this is straight forward and not overly “talky” for the sake of someone wanting to hear their own voice. I usually end up fast forwarding or even bailing completely when it’s a big talker that just waffles🤦‍♀️. Thank you 💛

So true. I donated an old duvet and a bunch of old blankets to a sanctuary for rescued exotic animals. They used them to make a sick old lioness comfortable in her final days...

Joshua, I’ve been listening to you about 6 weeks. I do so daily for inspiration and help on the journey! I feel “deeply”grateful! No hyperbole whatsoever, when I say…
this is changing my life in beautiful ways!
Yet I do feel both humbled and embarrassed at the same time. So far 22 large bags of cool stuff donated. And masses of coffee table books, CDS and DVDS for our local library. The lady who took in my donations said:” We will save this for our big spring sale which funds our children’s program and their summer reading one.” I felt terrific!

Blessings to you and your ongoing work and precious family!🙏❤️🙏

I donate to a thrift store that helps abused women start over again. I always drive away feeling so happy to help those in need, plus my home is clutter free, it’s a WIN WIN, I only shop now intentionally, have saved so much money shopping this way. Thank you Joshua, I love your channel

Decluttering has been something ongoing in my life for years and I could never understand why I still had just as much ...until now!!
I was replacing it afterwards with new stuff!!
Now, thanks to people like you Josh, I can get to where I’ve been wanting to be for such a longtime ; as clutter really makes me anxious and unhappy- all that stuff everywhere. I just want to get everything out and have nice painted walls; a table and sofa, one spoon one fork one knife one cup for each person and enjoy the peace ✌️

I found a new use for luggage. I use them to store my summer cloths in winter and my winter cloths in summer.

Thanks for your down to earth suggestions. As a child of two parents who experienced The Great Depression and WW2, it is terribly hard to get past the "just in case" idea.

I did take my old sheets and towels to a pet rescue facility and they were THRILLED with the donation. I have two sets of summer sheets and two sets of winter sheets so that I can change them weekly without having to wash them immediately if I don’t have time to. Great video for beginners or like me, 4 years in and I am actually starting all over again. There is more down sizing to do! 💗

I donated suitcases to a homeless shelter, with clothing, it helps when someone has a chance to start over.

In our town, we have small free libraries “leave one, take One” posted in our parks. My wife enjoys leaving books she has read for others to pick up and read and no cost to them.

My ex husband was a hoarder. His mom too. When she moved she had 30 baking pans. His dad had about 50 pairs of socks with tags on them. I could never get him to give up anything. Now my house is clutter free. I donate to thrift stores that benefit animal shelters

Joshua: I can't believe how each one of your ten recommendations was spot on for me! I've been slowly going through a purging process in our home using the 'peel the onion layers' approach and was astounded to realize EACH of your ten recommendations are areas that I need to revisit! Thank you so much for all you do. It is so appreciated. God bless and stay safe.

Thank you! I listened to this and as soon as it was over I went to my closet and packed a dozen things to donate. Three pair of gloves, two zippered makeup type bags, and seven purses that I haven’t used in a long time. It took less than a minute to gather and toss these things!

When it comes to tools, be real careful with what you throw out.
I tossed out an old edger I used to use and later found myself looking for a new one. It broke in five minutes of use and I later discovered I’ll never find another build with such quality.
“They just don’t build things like they used too”.

Old towels -- I do keep at least 4. They are nice to flat-dry hand-washed items on. Also easy to grab if the toilet overflows...🙄

PLEASE ~ Never throw out any old Bible ! So many people don't have one or can't
find one and they're SO glad to get one. I know several large, needy families who
are struggling and it's always a blessing to bring them something they need from our
'meager abundance'. I was 'saving' a great sweater that I had ordered that didn't fit and after a while I finally gave up hoping, and gave it to a It is gorgeous on her
and that's very satisfying for me!
