The Georgian language is spoken by nearly four million people, primarily in Georgia, a nation in the Caucasus region of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. It's a Kartvelian language, alongside Svan, Mingrelian, Laz, and Judeo-Georgian.

More from Wikipedia: ""Georgian (ქართული ენა, romanized: kartuli ena, pronounced [kʰartʰuli ɛna]) is a Kartvelian language spoken by Georgians. It is the official language of Georgia. Georgian is written in its own writing system, the Georgian script. Georgian is the literary language for all regional subgroups of Georgians, including those who speak other Kartvelian languages: Svans, Mingrelians, and the Laz."

For being such an insanely consonant heavy language, Georgian is so smooth and rolls right off the tongue.

I'm a Georgian myself and... It's nice to understand something that a lot of people can't understand for a change. Whenever I see other people talking in their native tongues or even multilingual people talking about it, I sometimes think to myself: ''How are they even doing that?'' But seeing other people fascinated at Georgian people speaking Georgian and understanding every single bit of it feels special and even slightly weird at times :'>

Georgian is such an amazing language and it easily has the most beautiful writing system ever, it looks like something out of a fantasy book. Georgian traditional folk music, dresses and dances are also so freaking cool. Best regards from Sweden, would love to visit beautiful Georgia one day!

My university friend in Sweden was Georgian.
I was trying to teach her Kurdish, and she was trying to teach me Georgian. While she was learning Kurdish, I could never learn Georgian. Hahah, I love you Tamar❤️

Not a very popular language to learn. But I'm very fascinated by it, up to the point I'm grateful for finding it. I'm learning little by little. Gamarjoba, chemi megobrebo! Rogor khart? Which I believe hello my friends, how are you? Lol.

One of my favourite languages. I spent 2 weeks in Georgia taking a short language course and mostly only learned the alphabet, but always intended to move back and learn properly. Didn't work out of course.

Why so short? It's so hard to find the Georgian language spoken extensively on YouTube

Hello from Alanya! I really loved the video, especially her fast talk.

I am learning Georgian for a little more than a year with some help from a high school friend. If only it could be a bit easier...

0:25 That syllable-timing tho.
Some parts almost sound French to me; I'm guessing I'm picking up on the syllable timing mixed with some back consonants.

I've just listened to Chechen and Edygey and I'm glad to hear that at least Georgian seems to have vowels.

It's like a cross between Arabic and a European language. So interesting and unique. I love that country!
