I did this for the first time this year on half of my plants as an experiment. On the half that I pruned flowers and extra foliage, the peppers ripened much earlier than the plants I didn't prune. Next season I'll do this with all of my plants.

Thanks Jeff! I do have a longer season, but these tips will help my peppers grow to their best potential. I keep in mind a quote from a different pepper video you did a while back. "Remember, small pot, small peppers! Big pot, bigger peppers!" That tip alone got me a better pepper harvest!
Regards from South Florida's east coast, & prayers for those in the devastation of the SW coast. 🍀🍀🍀

It's just the opposite with peppers in Denmark. In Supermarkets, they sell Red and Yellow Bell peppers per. pieces. To get Green Bell peppers, you have to buy a yellow, red and green . And they are - too me it seems - so expensive in Denmark. 1 pepper cost more than 1 dollar. So this year, I have tried growing my own in a pot. There are SO many on just the one plant I have (out door, as I dont have a green-house) and I'm afraid I won't get them all grown cause of the very cold and wet july we have had in Denmark this year. So thank you so much for the video :)

I started and grew King of the North peppers for the first time this year. Growing peppers is my passion! But I have never been successful with a bell type pepper until I found the Kings. I always grew Giant Marconi peppers for years. They were a great pepper to stuff. The Kings are too! Thanks for the tip! Here in NNY State, zone 4a, there isn't much time for peppers to turn red. Enjoyed, take care!

Bumper Pepper harvest this year - strangely in the same small spot where we had Aubergine/Courgettes coming out of our ears last year.
This despite the best efforts of something chomping away at some of them! Especially the green ones!
Great tips - perfect timing your side as always...
Tomatoes canned
Some peppers canned.
Garlic sowed.
On too preparing some more compost for the empty raised beds and some mulch and that's it for winter!!!

This year was my first year of pepper success! A Hungarian paprika in the greenhouse and some skinny chillies outside. The chillies are a bit pants tbh; they have barely any heat, but now I know how well they can grow here I'm going to go to the Asian Market or Caribbean shop and get some finger chillies or scotch bonnets 🔥

You're the Carnac of the Garden! 🔮🌱🥳 🫑🌶️ I actually found a previous video of yours for specifically this a couple weeks ago and realized I was a few weeks late in snipping flowers and bottoms leaves. In Eastern Washington, my est first frost date is in two days. 😭 luckily we're still in the upper 70's & 80's during the day and 50's at night (occasional 40's). I've got a dozen sugar rush peach pepper plants with loads of unripened peppers. I'm regretting not covering them at night and on cooler days. 🥹

I'm considering this season a success, got four peppers from three plants. Going to try and overwinter plants in the garage and go from there next season

My peppers are red and green at this time. Should I wait till they are fully RED before picking?

Great video! Thank you. What is the best way to tell when a bell pepper is ripe and ready to be picked?
