What are ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and direct renin inhibitors? Antihypertensives are a class of medication used to treat hypertension, or high blood pressure. ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and direct renin inhibitors are antihypertensives that act upon the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system to decrease blood pressure by inhibiting vasoconstriction and water reabsorption in the kidneys.

This is such a good video. I'm a clinical data specialist in cardiology, and nearly every patient I work with is on an ARB or ACEI.
