Very cool. I am in Canada and ICCS is the most reputable grading service in Canada. Also, the 10$ was made in 1912, 13 and 14 just like th 5$. I gotta say, I love seeing the ICCS flip in your vid. I never see those on youtoube.

The $10 dollar gold was made for 3 years as well. The other cool coin to pick up from Canada are the Newfoundland $2 dollars gold which are also denominated a 100 pence . Fun side not the Sovereigns were legal tender to in Canada until the 1990's

Gold coins that have a back story are much more interesting than the gold coin for sale currently from theimy of whatever county. Your 1912 is nice example of a coin used for commerce. The highly graded coins lose their "everyman" appeal. Thank you for showing great coins!

I picked up a 1912 $10 & a 1914 $5 Canadian gold last winter. Both coins are the lowest mintage of their 3 years of production.

I like the old Canadian gold. I have a $10 gold Canadian coin. You can also collect Soverigns that were minted in Canada, but beyond those options you're out of luck with old gold in Canada. Thanks for sharing that with us!

So I have had one of those as a business strike for a while but was lucky enough to pick up the Specimen version in an auction late last year. Truly gorgeous. One of my favorite coins.

Hi, Ben. I like that coin. I like the Maple Leaves on the reverse. A few years back, the Canadian Mint released a bunch of those $5 & $10 coins from a hoard they had. I wonder if the US has some gold coins hoarded up somewhere. *TYU*

Some other gold coins with (near) same US gold content are the 1928 Ecuador Condor (half eagle), the 1926 Guatemala 20, 10, and 5 Quetzal coins, and Cuba gold pesos from 1915-1916.
