I am happy to announce a new series on the channel: "Coin In History".
Each episode will take a closer look on one specific coin and exploring the history behind it.
On this first episode we are starting with one of the most adored figures in history- Sir Winston Churchill.
The 5 Shillings coin issued in 1965 is shown in the video and was issued as a memorial of Churchill who died that year.
From serving in the military, serving as a member of parliament and as prime minister, Churchill is remembered thanks to his charismatic speeches and leading the UK through WWII and the beginning of the Cold War.
