The Sony Mavica was a really nice thing to own back then, when every computer had a floppy drive and the disks were cheap, compared to memory cards that were crazy expensive and needed an adapter for your computer as well

My grandpa owned a very expensive high quality camera back in the 80s and 90s and it took pictures that still look high quality for today's standards. Expensive cameras back then where great 👍

My Dad has this same Sony Mavica camera! He bought it somewhere around 2002-2003 and still uses it to this day. Didnt realize he's been using 20 year old tech til i just typed that LoL, Floppy disks, external floppy drive and all!
Old school is the BEST school!

Always near seeing a Mavica. I have one, it's fun to use.

Fun fact: Depending on your chosen resolution, you could store anywhere from 10-40 photos typically. So you'd have to take multiple floppy disks depending on how many pictures you thought you might want to take.

We had this camera when I was a kid. We would hook until video out to the vcr and record just signal instead of trying to record from the camera.
