Beloved RCM alumnus Oscar Peterson composed “Hymn to Freedom” on the spot in a recording studio on December 16, 1962. More than 60 years later, his protégé Robi Botos, RCM Jazz Artist in Residence, performs this powerful piece.

Man, ever since Robi's previous version of this song was removed from YouTube, I've been searching for an equal rendition, and while this one doesn't have the same bass and drums as prior performances, the piano is as good as ever!
