“At Home With Oscar” is proud to present your favourite artists giving you exclusive performances straight from Oscar Peterson’s Bøsendorfer Imperial piano in his home. In 2008, Oliver Jones & Dione Taylor performed Hymn to Freedom as a tribute to Oscar Peterson during the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame. We were thrilled to have the chance to bring them back together (with the wonderful addition of Dave Young) for this intimate performance of one of OP's most treasured pieces.

I didn't hear yet a vocal version of this marvel. I could never help breaking in tears hearing the original with Oscar but this one truly stunning and heartbreaking. Wow !

These words of Freedom sung by Dione Taylor are so true. Oscar was a master creator of music, writer of songs, and played the piano to perfection. So glad he had this video on his heart to share with all of us music lovers. Thank you, Oliver Jones for this wonderful salute to your friend, Oscar Peterson. Beautiful melody. Reminds me also of the 600 year old Korean folk song "Arirang" which speaks of losses and recoveries from persecution through the centuries. I wish you could arrange your own rendition of Arirang. It would be beautiful.. Kamsahamnida!
