Astronomer at Large Fred Watson discusses NASA Astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore being stranded on Boeing’s Starliner in space until 2025.

“We’ve heard hints from NASA, regarding the next crew to come up to the International Space Station on a Space X Dragon capsule,” Mr Watson told Sky News Australia.

“That was scheduled for the middle of this month, but it’s been pushed back to late September.

“The reasoning behind that is to allow people to think a bit more carefully about how the two Starliner astronauts … might get back.

“They may end up coming back … with a Dragon crew – one of Space X’s flagship capsules.

“That would not however be until next February as you mentioned, it will be into 2025.”

"Hello darling, I'm going to be late home from work"
"Oh okay, when will you be home?"
"...2025"

The Russians could bring them home tomorrow, but US won’t ask because they’ll appear weak. Well, they are weak, yet Russia would still assist if asked.

Many leading experts are still confused as to why NASA still uses a Commodore 64 personal computer in their CGI graphics department.

With what's happening on Earth right now out of space is probably the best place to be..

In 2014 NASA contracted both SpaceX and Boeing to develop a crewed spacecraft to transport astronauts to the ISS, Boeing received $4.2B and SpaceX received $2.6B and in those 10 years SpaceX is about to launch their 9th crewed mission to the ISS with their Dragon capsule and Boeing only just launched their first crewed mission and don't even know if they can bring the crew home on their Starliner capsule!!!

Why doesn't NATO and Boeing just swallow their pride and ask the Russians for help?

Can't bring them back in 2024.

But they apparently landed on the moon in the 60's.🤔

Boeing should be banned from making anything till they can sort out their issues.

I love that there are people who aren't falling for this rubbish. How many tanks of oxygen and food would a diver need to stay underwater for six months? They'll also need a spare capsule full of food. How can people believe this crap?
I've got a bridge or two to sell them.

They should do a reality TV show for Netflix - "Lost in Space" or "I'm an Astronaut - Get Me Outta Here!"

this is a lesson learned don't go to space when the company is under investigation by the federal government or during an election year

Although, this is a pretty unique problem, it is the canary in the coal mine showing that the quality of our corporations and institutions and the people running them are starting to regress.

The irony is the rockets on that ship were Russian RD181 rockets...but has nothing tovdo with tgem getting stranded, which is capsule issue

I smell...

1. Legit malfunctions
2. Boeing space stress experimentation
3. Dragon sabotage for leverage

Which one?
