DNA Extraction Laboratory Methods

Different types of DNA extraction methods are available for different cell types. For example, the DNA extraction method for plant DNA is different from that of the blood. This video will discuss three methods of DNA extraction. We will focus on the principle and the mechanism of each type of DNA extraction method. Further, we will also discuss the advantages and limitations of different DNA extraction methods.

Just the note -- the "rpm" (rounds per minute) is not the universal unit for the centrifuge spinning since the rotor diameter can differ and then the applied centrifugal force as well. It is better to use "rcf" (relative centrifugal force) or "g" which counts with these differences and so is more accurate.

In the organic method, why did you add liquid nitrogen to the sample first and not EDTA?

Besides, you never talked about liquid nitrogen as part of the reagents to be used before you started.

Why we add TE buffer at the last part, and in last step after the purification which reagent we have to add in it and wich wavelength we read it for identify the concentration of dna in the solution ( for protein kinase k)
