You know, I like all these characters, well except Rowan and Jake but seriously this Mellie erasing the past thing in this scene is dumb.This is the same Mellie who knew about the affair but begged Olivia to come back to help them win the campaign. The same Mellie, that even after she and Fitz's son's death, called Olivia or told someone to call Olivia because Fitz was on the floor having a breakdown and asked for Olivia instead of just finding solace with her... the Mellie that could take Olivia out to eat in public to cover up Olivia and her husband's affair so Olivia could continue to "work her magic" to help them win the election not to mention the same Mellie who asked the woman she knows her husband is in love with to help her with her paternity issues but yet when another scandal (you're welcome) arises in the Grant household yet again, SHE'S the one who is going to fix it cause suddenly it eats at her soul to have Olivia "fix" their dysfunctional family shit? Lol Riiight, but the writers do tend to have selective memories so why am I surprised?
