I love these tips!! I am 50 and although I don’t want to look younger, I do want look and be healthy. As I get older, I am dedicated to not equating “looking older” as worse and “looking younger” as better because doing that did a number on my mental health. Getting older is a stage in life that I want to enjoy and empower myself! Thanks for all that you do to help with that.

0:43 I love rice powder exfoliants too. But it's literally just rice powder so I grind up a handful of rice in my vitamix, keep it in a squegee bottle and add to my regular cleanser a couple of times a week. 10c rather than paying $$$$ ✅

I'm cool-toned and 63 with dry skin. As I've aged, I've found that a glossy cool-toned rose lipstick is the most youthful product I can put on my face!

Even when I was younger, I always used to add a touch of lipgloss on top of my lipstick. I wear gloss a lot more now I'm over 50. As you said, when you get older it definitely looks more flattering to add gloss. Happy New Year! Emma x

Castor oil! I’m 57 and post menopausal. My skin is dry. I do all these steps but my last step is to add castor oil on my eyes and lids. I use it on my face neck and chest mixed with moisturizer and it’s amazing. If you get some, make sure it’s organic, hexane free and in a dark GLASS bottle.

Finally, a tutorial that really takes the time to break things down for us non-professional makeup users. Very clear and thorough. I love it! You're a great teacher. Thank you! 😃😍

Marlena, I remember watching one of your skincare videos almost three years ago. I immediately called my dermatologist and requested Tretinoin and Hydroquinone to be sent to my pharmacy. Not only did this save me a lot of money, but it has also been the best skincare routine of my life! You also introduced me to Vitamin C; my skin looks better in my 40s than in my 20s. Thank you! I will always trust your recommendations.

Omg! I’m soooo grateful you are still doing these types of videos! You know your sh&t!!!! I’m 53, and my makeup has gradually gotten softer and lighter! For example, I no longer use eyeliner… I use dark brown eye shadow with a very petite brush. Great video!!

Cool-toned natural dark shades for eyes can be found among brow products: my fav eyeliner is espresso brow pencil from essence. It's petite, automatic, easy to use and smudge, and gives an amazing dark shade for the lash line. Not to say it is also very affordable.

Thanks for the tips. The marionette lines are the ones that go from your lips down to your jaw like the puppets. Those lines you were talking about are the nasolabial folds. Also that blush placement looks fairly odd because that's not where you would naturally have color. So a little bit further up is fine but not that high. Andreea Ali explains blush concealer and highlighter placement pretty well. I also just heard of a trick where you use aquaphor lip balm over your under eyes before putting on any concealer or anything and it helps them look smoother and helps keep any makeup in place.

I love a bright poppy-red blush. Looks fresh and surprisingly natural.

Fabulous video! I’m 50 later this month and I’ve found the older I get, the more important skin prep is prior to make up. I agree wholeheartedly with the thin viscosity being vital as the more pores/lines/creases/texture I have, the physically lighter foundation smoothes over in a much more flattering way. I am the opposite when it comes to concealer than yourself though as I find the more I use, the more there is to gather in the creases and I’m very lighthanded now - I also usually do concealer around my eyes prior to foundation so I don’t have two layers of make up over my crinkliest areas to gather in there. I also use a sheerer, less dense radiant finishing powder rather than a pressed powder with coverage now as it gives much less ‘cake face’ - especially now my skin is getting drier with the perimenopause. I’ve changed so much over even the last 5 years on how I do my face but I still enjoy the creativity and much as I hate to admit it, high end make up - particularly make up for the face itself - works much better for me with a light hand, finer formulas and richer pigment than drug store ranges.

Hi, I've just subscribed to your channel, I'm going to turn 62 this year, and it's so refreshing to watch a video dedicated for the over 40s.

I take really good care of my skin, and it is my biggest expenditure, but I do believe that it pays off in making a more mature woman look youthful. I don't follow trends as they last for a season or two, I just like classic makeup, but I do love a smoky eye, I don't think you're ever too old for that, but done properly. Thank you, and I look forward to the next video.
