For those wondering what metal the original katanas were made from, it's called tamahagane. There are only a few places in Japan that still keep the tradition and make it by hand. It takes so much skill, precision, patience and ambition to make real traditional katanas. They can cost 20-50 thousand dollars! Not just that, they aren't sold to just anyone, the seller needs to build a trust with you before he sells it. So much respect goes into this blade
