I get why they removed this--perhaps to keep up with the overall pace of the movie or to make Henry's infatuation come as a surprise (for those who haven't read the book)---but man, this significantly hints at Henry's inclination to Alex and shows Henry's personality at the same time. Without this, to me (one of those who havent read the book), Henry's falling in love seems rather rash. But then, I respect the team's decisions! Love this work! Salute the author.

it is a streaming service not for theaters!!!! We are sitting on our couches watching and able to pause at any time to pee or get a snack. Film editors need to realize this and stop cutting good scenes just to make a certain length!!! Give us the good stuff. THis was an awesome scene... unless whoever makes the ice creams didn't want it in there, you should have kept it!!!!

I know in the book this takes place before the interview scene but it would have fit so nicely in the movie if they put it after the interview scene but before the hospital scene, as kind of a pre-cursor to Henry being a semi-decent human.

At least we see this as a deleted scene but we were still robbed of Henry barefoot in his pajamas lol (EDIT: We actually see this during the text/call montage after Alex goes back to the USA)

Also of all the deleted scenes (and we all know there is more) this is one that should have been kept in purely because it was in the trailer. Got our hopes up for nothing!

Nicholas Galitzine has got to be one of the most talented actors I’ve seen when it comes to portraying so many layers of emotions with just his expressions and no words. The look on his face when Alex mentions 14k likes in 2 seconds is just *chefs kiss*. The subtle look to Alex’s lips and back up 🫠 and then the look of absolute disgust when Alex eats the Cornetto like that 😂

I know this is an unfinished scene so it’s not a polished product, but the obvious black box over Alex’s phone screen makes me laugh every time. And how Nora just completely vanishes 😅
