It seems to me, that the aliens sent warriors (not soldiers), and the humans sent hunters.

That said… if humans aren’t allowed to fight, that means humans just show up on a planet, declare “This is ours, now.” and nobody is allowed to fight back. Humanity is not altruistic enough not to abuse the shit out of that rule.

The AI artwork for these channels is hilarious. Like, you have a bunch of aliens that are mostly the same species and wearing uniforms, but two of them are experiencing that nightmare where you are in class but realize you forgot to wear clothes. 😂

First fight he describes sounds like we’re in our Vietnam Rambo credence sympathy for the devil phase.

Reminds me of humans in Galactic Civilizations series - a young species, willing to share own technology and fresh ideas with more developed civilizations, turning into excellent diplomats. Some saw their diplomacy attempts as weakness, a way to avoid conflict - but they weren't afraid of others, humans were afraid of what they are capable of. While atrocities and war crimes did happen in the galaxy, humans were the only ones who would do such thing to themself.

Furthermore, they were also possibly the very first species to actually use weapons capable of destroying entire star systems, and actually used it on planed under their control, to eradicate entrenched remains of ancient, hostile species - just to be sure. When faced with opponent hiding on planet with toxic atmosphere, rather than prepare own troops with newly acquired terraforming technology, they turned terraforming concept into a weapon, exterminating entire alien life on a planet by modifying entire atmosphere - and then claimed this genocide was an act of self defence. And as humans were seen as diplomatic, if not even benevolent species, almost everyone actually believed them.

The is a series of books based on the Man-Kzin War where humanoid tigers attacked humans. In the first book the author states at the fromt of the first book humans did not stop war necessarily because they hated it, but because they were to good at it. If they kept fighting wars with each other they would destroy themselves.
So in this story the humans may have shown their Master level skill at fighting wars with the hope no one else would cause them any troubles in the future.

Somehow, I guarantee that the Coalition would still call on the humans again if they were to face a similar situation. And I picture that at some point they will run across a species that will only view the humans as a challenge and seek them out intentionally. I could see that story ending with "We warned you".
