This is to be explained by thinking “he has perfect pitch.” No. June trained his ear. He is an Olympian weight lifter, a diligent gymnast, world class marathoner. He put in the time and the commitment.

Just found this today, fascinating. Where can we access the article on teaching absolute pitch? I'm keen to learn much more about the application of DI to music instruction, which doesn't seem to have been researched too deeply.

And has Zig talked at any length about teaching adults skills they failed to pick up as children?

Side question: is there any info out there about the music lessons that were taught in the Bereiter-Engelmann preschool, or any other music curricula that Zig oversaw? The only thing I could find was a very short segment of footage from the development of DISTAR, students singing the same melody to work on language skills, e.g. "he and she".

The two chords at :41 and :44 are not the same. I’m not sure which notes were swapped out, but something was replaced.
