Headlines: Bengal BJP unit plants Hanuman chalisa chant to counter Friday Namaz

The political and religious sloganeering in Bengal continues to intensify in the days after Lok Sabha elections and now, a group of BJP youth wing leaders have said they will block roads in Kolkata and nearby areas on Tuesdays to chant Hanuman Chalisa, the same way Muslims block roads for namaz on Fridays. Yesterday was the first day the party organised such an event and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha recited Hanuman Chalisa.

My request to all is not to trivialize the name of Ram or enter into any competition with anyone, far less with TMC, by reciting Hanuman Chalisa. These are much profound and scoring cheap points by taking the name of Ram is beyond the canons of our religion.
