Nowadays, the simulation of microstructural evolution during hot forging conditions plays a crucial role in the optimization of forming processes and help to better meet industrial specifications. However, the identification of material parameters for grain size evolutions requires many advanced experiments and often discourage the industrial world. For DIGIMU® as for other models, an organized approach is needed to perform it in reasonable coasts and time. Continuous efforts are provided in Transvalor to improve the parameters identification procedure and make it always easier for our clients. In this talk, we will present the procedure to identify the parameters for grain growth, hardening, recovery, and both dynamic and post-dynamic recrystallization in a wide range of thermomechanical conditions. Metamodel to describe the evolution of the parameters in the identification range, coupled to optimization algorithms and neuronal network approaches have permitted to automate and accelerate the procedure.
