How to Remove a Cast from a Broken Arm at Home with Garden Clippers -Jungle Living

This is how we removed my fiberglass forearm cast at home using just garden clippers and a few funny tools. I broke my arm in an accident in La Parguera Puerto Rico and had to wear a full arm fiberglass cast for 3 weeks and then went down to a forearm cast for another 3 weeks. So finally after 6 weeks we decided we could just take it off at home and avoid the hours of waiting it would take to get it off in a doctor's office. Here's just our experience, not to be taken as medical advice.

You husband is a good assistant he passed his test. Because I was scare he might of cut you. But he did an excellent surgery on your arm cast. Hope you get better fast

I live in RINCON. I broke my ulnar in Dorado in December. It is so important to do physical therapy. I go to physical therapy located in the RINCON Shopping center. I am still healing. It takes a whole year to heal everything!

I broke my humerus into the shoulder and was told if I didn’t do the PT asap, it would heal wonky. Make sure you do the stretching exercises when ready but don’t wait too long. Range of mobility is soooo important. Good luck.

Wow! ¡Qué difícil fue quitar ese yeso! Britton está brutal! Sabe hacer de todo! 😂 Me alegro que por fin hayas salido de eso. Se lo fuerte que fue para ti. Yo fui la que grabé el momento de la caída y te motivé a treparte al mangle. 😔 Ese día no podía creer que te hubieses lastimado el brazo y menos una fractura. De tantas cosas peligrosas que has hecho esa era una bobería 😂 Fuiste muy fuerte y aguantaste el dolor. Luego 6 semanas con un yeso no es nada fácil. ¡Eres admirable amiga! I just had surgery 2 weeks ago in Humacao to remove clarification from my rotator cuff. It was done arthroscopic but boy is it sure painful, I was very bruised & swollen. Take care being such a daredevil. I also fractured my elbow several years back & just turning a doorknob was super painful for months even though I didn’t have an actual cast.

Saludos🙋🏼‍♀️ Cassiey fam:👨‍👩‍👦, que bueno que al fin al te estás mejorando del brazo 💪 fracturado y que tú esposo te pude quitar el mismo el yeso yo pensaba que te quitaban el yeso donde te lo pusieron no sabía que uno mismo se lo podía quitar, ahora tienes que seguir paso a paso recomendación del médico y darte terapia y cuidarte mejor para que no te vuelva a suseder, estás libre de ese yeso que se que es malo tenerlo puesto, pues yo e visto personas que le da picor, pero al fin estás libre del yeso, que gracioso Aeden cuando se puso el yeso que tenías tu tenía puesto, es un niño inteligente y grasioso Dios lo bendiga igual a ustedes, cuidesen, chao.🙋🏼‍♀️

I almost did that 4 days ago with my cast. I had surgery 3 weeks ago I slipped and broke my ankle both bones and the joint as well while building a fence at me farm here in Puerto Rico. It has been a rough month but last Thursday they moved me to the surgical boot. Looking forward to learn how to live with this metal brakets inside my leg and regain my mobility.
