Racers gain HP thanks to Gale Banks

It's all about the air density! At the 2019 Diesel Challenge at Bandimere Speedway in Colorado, Gale Banks sat down with several teams to analyze how the high altitude and intake configuration were affecting their peak power. A lot of these teams understood that high-density air is best for making power but the readings from the Banks iDash helped them quantify the effect and isolate where they could make the biggest improvement.

That guy is nothing short of a genius when it comes to diesels really the only one who sells parts that actually can back up what they’re claiming

It’s 7.3 liters Gale… 250 horse at 2200 RPM 😂

It amazes me that most of the diesel world went backwards in knowledge with overfueling. Gale cannot be fooled by the false doctrines of Diesels out there.

Air dense makes most practical sense no way out of equation for more power & efficiency

The standard day pressure is equivalent to 29.92 "Hg (Mercury) or its equivalent 14.7 psi. "Cfm" that Bank's mentions is "cubic feet per minute" (ft^3/min), "Cubic feet" (ft^3) being the representative of volume of a 1ft(L) by 1ft(W) by 1ft(H) cube. It's a common way to measure the amount of airflow over a certain period of time.

Hope this helps anyone not sure about some of the keywords he said.

I recognize that guy from diesel power challenge. It was the coolest truck in the challenge until it blew up

Colder air is more dence.
Realy cold air is liquide or even solid.

The cooler you've got it the more you can pack it.

I feel like any mechanical engineer can learn more from gale banks than a 4 year university

They are not listening. They think more black smoke is the way to go
