I didn't realise that the iPhone could miss the focus so spectacularly. Apologies.

As IF SU-57 and J-20 don't have problems. Like there is NOT even a full squadron of 24 Su-57s. While J-20 is only transitioning now to WS-15 engines. And these are the issues that are publicly disclosed unlike the more transparent F-35 program. But regardless with the software issues of Block IV even if they are delayed the current F-35s will do just fine when J-20 and Su-57 are NOT even as stealthy. Not to mention their are 5 times more F-35s than J-20.

I know that under that hypercritical exterior is an American just waiting to get out...

Just a good faith joke, my friend. I'm a loyal watcher & supporter of your channel because you are a subject matter expert who not only keeps us informed, but also increases our education knowledge w/an academic oriented & dry sense of humor approach that holds accountable those who need to be held accountable.

And in this instance, that is Lockheed Martin and those working in the program under them.

It's easy to wish they would have rejected receiving their craft again. That they didn't is telling. This would hardly be the first program that took much longer than anticipated.

But, the program has come a long way from where it was, & in a relatively shortened time frame & is experiencing positive momentum.

What I do know for sure without any humor is that we share the same values and hopes for our allied Western liberal countries & our Eastern/Pacific allies who are in that same categorical group, i.e. Japan, Australia S. Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand (& more).

Keep holding them accountable & us informed, good sir.

F-35 is imho an excellent example of (very) poor engineering, in all aspects. It used to be that a fighter aircraft approved for series production after IOC is 100% functional in its designed role(s). Over its lifetime, improvements & upgrades would have been introduced to maintain its capabilities in view of evolving threats. Not the F-35 which, after prolonged testing period, today (2024) is still experiencing serious problems (including long promised software upgrades), 9 & 8 years after IOC for the F-35B & F-35A, respectively. It makes one wonder if the selection of the F-35 by various countries might have been based on non-technical basis, and little on the quality of the aircraft itself? There are many reports (including from US Congressional Research Service) of (very) low operational availability rates for F-35 in various user air forces.

I’d say 5th Gen is a measure of cost only. Useless. Flying paperweight.

Flying 'swiss army knife' of which the USAF only has 30% deployed. The balance of these craft are in various stages of disrepair. Very sad!! What's happened to US exceptionalism?😉'

I just keep wondering, if the sanctions against Kaspersky take effect, will it have impact on US defense industry.
If so, it will be SOOOO ironic that the Russian sanctions actually work. LOL
