Alsthom No. 4151 locomotive built in 1974/5, crossing Ban Dara Junction rail bridge that crosses the Nan River in Uttaradit Province, northern Thailand. The original bridge crossing was constructed in 1909 and carried the railway line from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Sadly, this beautiful bridge was destroyed in 1944 during WWII, using 1000lb bombs dropped from an American heavy bomber, a B-24 Liberator. The current bridge is a 1953 replacement, known as “The Great One Bridge". The bridge span dimensions are: 80.60 + 101.2.0 + 80.60m.
