China says its newly equipped Tiangong space station will be up and running by next year while the future of the nearly 23-year-old International Space Station remains uncertain after 2024. China says its spacecraft has more advanced technology, like a more efficient propulsion system and a tag-along space telescope.

WSJ unpacks the design and technology of both space stations and takes a look at China’s history in space exploration.

This video really surprised me!!!
Because I don't see any negative comment about China in this video, what's the problem with WSJ?
Will the person who make this video be fired???

US: Chinese not allowed
China: we built our own
US: No computer chips
China: We make our own
Force a Tiger against a wall it either jumps or attacks.
Each time the US tried to strangle China, it made China stronger.

Remember China was willing paid for the entire ISS space program while US congress imposed Act that China are Not allowed into the project. Talk about the irony.

China is a big player in human history, it always make me laugh that some people just ignore the elephant in the room and pretend that they don't exist. China's space program is successful and 'cheap' compare to the so call 'West'. People keep talking about the size, it is not the size but the package. Tiangong is much much better from a cost effective and technological advancement. Good to see a more objective report on the subject from the WSJ.

Back in the days. China asked the US for some moon soil for research. The US waited a while and gifted 1 gram of moon soil to China.

China built their own moon explorer and brought back 2000 grams of moon soil and rock back. Honestly, technical independence is so vital for a country’s advancement.

Despite US blocking China from space collaboration, they were able to land a rover on dark side of the moon on the first try - something US failed at repeatedly. Also, China launched successful mission to Mars while also landing a rover all on its very first visit there.

The US was narrow-minded when they excluded China. Politics always play a part.

remember in 1991, US shut down the GPS to a Chinese ship (alleged shipping nuclear material to North Korea) and that ship was floating out at sea for a month..Thanks US, we got our own global positioning system, the Beidou Navigation System. MY PEOPLE DON'T DISAPPOINT!!
