i have 7 work vans in my company. all of them have hilti tools. if one goes bad or whatever i send an email to my hilti rep and i get a replacement the same day or the next morning and i send the broken one back. you dont buy hilti for its cutting edge performance. you buy them because they can survive being in a work van and construction site for 5 years every day without complaining.

Anchors are a huge part of Hilti's business, so having a tool that's geared for consistency with their other products is what you've found.

DeWalt and Milwaukee: Going at each other's throats.
Hilti: Imma slip right in here.

I used to work in a factory driving self tapping screws through 3mm steel for 12 hours a day using a 36v Hiliti impact driver. The performance of the tool was decent but the chuck would always break after 6 months and the bits would just fall out if held upside down!

Hilti SDS drills (corded) are without doubt the best for drilling into concrete, Hilti SDS drill bits take a hell of a lot of beating, they don’t blunt easily.

I used this impact every day for four months filling in for a co worker pouring on a couple of Gomaco slipform concrete pavers. I couldn’t believe how underpowered it felt compared to other impacts of its size that I had used previously. It’s crazy to actually see the numbers.

My favorite thing about Hilti tools is the simplistic design. I don't need my tools to look like some freakish weapons out of a science fiction movie. They just have to do a job. Bravo for keeping the marketing people away and the bean counters from cutting material costs.

The Hilti rotary hammers, both corded and cordless, are fantastic. Their other stuff can be hit or miss, certainly when considering the price.

A great video on a respectable brand, while anyone can buy Hilti they are obviously really marketed towards companies who get volume discounts. On the jobsite I only ever see them with company engraving or company stickers stuck on them being used by large construction companies

Everyone I've worked with that runs hilti says they buy it for the warranty. I've seen guys with the same set of tools running them for 5 years day in day out and not abuse them, but definitely make them work, and if they break the driver they simply warranty it. Worth the investment

I owned one since October, it is a huge boy and I love it that it is so well balanced on all of the Victaulic Coupling.

Hilti anchor guns are amazing by far my favorite but just so expensive.

I am still patiently waiting with anticipation for the Metabo SSW 18 LTX 400 BL. The original brushless mid torque!

Thank you. I've waiting for this test/review. That settles it then. I must say, I really like the smooth streamlined appearance of the Hilti's. I also like the fitment and 'rear entry' of their batteries. (no giggling) Their products just feel smooth and refined. But, I'm going to go with the Ryobi P262 brushless mid-torque. Thanks for helping me make an informed decision.

That said I still think their build quality is probably top tier. If you watch AvE's teardown of their various tools all the ones I've seen him take apart have the PCBs potted in rubber which is something no other brand does.
