Josh Shapiro speech campaigns for Kamala Harris, Tim Walz after Penn. governor wasn't selected as VP

After finishing as runner-up in the race to be Kamala Harris' running mate, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro gave a speech in support of her and Tim Walz.

The Walz pick finalizes the presumptive Democratic ticket ahead of their convention, giving voters a choice between them, Donald Trump and JD Vance on the Republican side, and other third party candidates.

I have to admit, he is a great speaker. He will be one of the front-runners in 2032 for sure. I think Tim Walz just made more sense to balance the ticket for 2024. As a Republican against Trump, I think J.D. Vance had no chance against either of them. Keep up the good work, Governor Shapiro!

So this is the first time I have heard this guy speaking. I'm so impressed! And absolutely no chip on his shoulder about not being picked at a VP running mate. It takes a big person to do that (not that whinny Republicans would know anything about that). He obviously wants what's best for the country. That man gave a fabulous speech. Maybe a future president? He needs to go on the campaign trail for Kamala. The momentum has changed now hasn't it?!?!. I'm so excited now for our chances in 2024.

I believe that Tim Walz and Harris would make a great team for the White House. Firstly, they both firmly believe in our democracy. Secondly, they both want to progress our country forward, rather than regress it like Trump and his vice president. They do not support Project 2025, which would set our country back at least a century. We now have our team, and we must move forward and elect them to the White House. Once again, there are more of us who cherish democracy than those who do not; we will only be successful if we exercise our right to vote.
