Demon King Piccolo was first introduced as a demon, straight up. It was only later that he got retconned into being an alien.

Now that Daima once again retconned them into being from the demon world, we’ve come full circle.

Also lemme say smth about buus creation. Buu was ancient, he was formed through the evil that accumulated from everything which implies that he was created along with all the universes. MAJIN buu however, the buu we know as kid buu, fat buu etc, was made or founded by marba

Also something that changed was the Potara fusion being permanent, DBS did that the potara was 1 hour long for non-gods but in Daima its permanent for everyone. Might sound not a big deal but the problem is... it is! since in DBS, Vegito lost to Zamasu bcs time runned out due to they unleashed more power and making their timer runs faster.

The problem of being permanent again is that would change the Goku Black arc finale since Vegito would not defuse.

I honestly enjoy the extra lore tidbits. More information on namekians is always a positive, and hearing more about shin (plus spending more time with him), makes me like him more as a character. DBZ left me with an impression of "just the guy who's supposed to be strong, to contrast against how ridiculous Saiyan's have become".
