When batoning with a knife like that, try to hit the log on the base with the knife, as if it was a hammer. Sometimes it works... xP
And that rain was strong!
Nice vid, as always!

Another great vid. Nice blade, I hope it's made in Murica! Those bolts are bicycle chain ring bolts.
You could have swung that whole peice of wood like a giant mallet.
Keep up the good vids.

I like 8cr13mov steel for how easily it is to keep sharp . A few passes on a strop and back in business.

Holly shit dude! you beat the shit out of that knife tip and it held up. I'm buying this thing. Thank for the torture test vid.

As a tool it would be better with a straight square spine. You can still start splits with it and use wooden wedges you prepare to finish the splits. The point is it cuts well and is nice and sturdy.

I like the schf23 a little more (same steel) but somehow the guys of Fire and Steel keep breaking theirs, that made me doubt about the 8ch13mov (sorry for my poor english lol) Great review annyway!

If this is how you normally baton wood may I suggest an axe instead. Return of investment on energy output and time spent batoning is no Bueno. You're right it's best for small chores and defense and other rif raf
