What i like about Jay is he will admit that others were as good or even better than him in various ways. He's not a arrogant champion. Pretty rare.

I met Jay back in 2003 at a show. I was a total nobody who was just an 18 year old bodybuilding fan but Jay talked to me for like 15 minutes and absolutely could not have been any nicer or more helpful. Then several years later, I run into him again at another show…not only does he remember my full name, he remembers where I’m from and basically my whole back story like we just talked the day before (I was blown away). And then to top that, I meet him a 3rd time about 5 years after the second meeting and he once again remembers everything about me and talks to me and treats me like I’m his long lost best friend. The guy must just have an insane memory, and he’s by far the nicest famous person I’ve ever met…not even a contest. One other crazy thing…he also met my parents for a couple seconds when I first met him in 03. Each time I ran into him years later, he asked how they were doing and literally remembered them by name. One of the craziest things I’ve ever seen! Each time I met him, I was probably one of a thousand people he talked to that weekend. And it’s not like I had some real interesting life story to tell him.

Ronnie lifted crazy weights and now he can barely walk and jay never lifted such crazy weights and had no injuries in his life and he looks good and still lifts weights

Someone once said jay doesn't finish a sentence without saying 8-12 reps...i think their right

Jay was strong as an ox, too. Plus, his form was impeccable no matter what weight he used and was always in the 8-12 rep range.

I love Jay. Super humble guy and doesnt mind giving people their props. I really like that Jay and Ronnie care about each other and respect one another

Lotta of ppl didnt know that Coleman had a background in power lifting which gave him the foundation for his style of training. He was freakishly strong even 4 weeks out nearly contest ready. No one could do that.

Seeing Jay struggle with lifting weights shows how much he put in to get to the no 1 position, deserving Mr Olympia

Jay still had his health, he can walk around and still workouts like a former bodybuilder and looks great for his age. Ronnie unfortunately paid the price for greatness.
