YouTube Material Design app review

Beau HD reviews the new YouTube app with Material Design. While the core functionality is the same, the YouTube app is now much more aesthetically pleasing. The menu bar slides in from the left, content morphs in and out of view, and the app as a whole is consistent with the Material Design UI found in Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Glad I checked my updates just now when I saw this vid. I'm running Android 4.4 and I got the new YouTube app. I like it. Its so much faster. Now to wait until April when I can get a new phone with Android 5.0

Someone needs to update the YouTube desktop website to Material Design, NOW! Also, that color detecting thing for channel kinda reminds me of old YouTube, alot.

I've had it for around a week and like it. Although my one m8 hasn't been updated to Lollipop yet so no status bar not changing with the color is disappointing.

Don't know where is that update.. Cuz on my sony z2 tablet, iPhone 6 plus, and my son xperia z2 YouTube app looks the same..on my androids it doesn't even give me an option to watch a video on 1080p

I keep getting'connection to server lost' anytime I update YouTube to v6 and works well in older versions. I have no Adblocker or any ads blocking apps installed. Anyway round this please? I'm on 4.3 stock rom i9300. Thanks

i have nexus 5 with android lollipop, and i still havent gotten the youtube update. I checked and it still doesnt have to update option it.

Youtube iOS app hasn't been updated since Nov 12, 2014
this is the longest period ever since the app was initially released on the App Store in 2012
so this design is obviously coming to iOS very soon ;)

In India we can watch videos in offline mode.
