First method finally worked for me. I've wasted the whole day trying the second one I knew from articles and other videos. But I never seen an alternative with reset-to-reset wiring. And this finally worked for me. Thank you!

You know what ?? YOU MADE MY DAY !
Two days that i was searching for a correct method to program my pro mini ! ! And Bingo, i found this video !
Your second method (with reset to GND wire) is wonderful.
I even try with a Nano out of order ( i can't program it anymore, bootloader corrupted i think) IT WORKS.... Unbelievable.

This is the first method that works for me; I have an arduino UNO SMD version and I could program a very old arduino mini pro. Thanks a lot, keep doing this great job.

great tutorial. the first method worked for me. now i can upload any sketch to the mini using the my uno smd. thanks ! My mini is a 5V 8Mhz but programmed fine using the 5V 16Mhz board selection.

it worked 1st method, also if bootloder gets corrupt, how to fix it, i fixed my corrupted nano using the ICSP header, what about pro mini.

Says "Problem uploading to the board" after being stuck on uploading for some time. Pressing reset buttons don't do anything. COM ports are correct.

worked first time now it takes forever, so burned the boot loader with success, but still not able to upload any sketch using any method.
