I feel the need
The need for SPEED!!!!
In the ongoing search for more speed on the wingfoil this edition will zoom in on the difference a carbon mast will make compared to an aluminum mast.
Is the whole carbon mast thing just clever marketing stunt by foil companies to make more money or does it actually makes sense to buy such a more expensive carbon mast?
In this video I will specifically look at the top speed of a 90cm High Modulus Carbon plate mast by @F4FOILS compared to the standard aluminum plate mast by F4foils and will try to answer the question "is it worth the extra investment?"
In this video I will use a F4foils 620cm2 slalom frontwing, my Duotone Sky wing 75L board and my Duotone SLS Slick 5.0, so the same setup as I used in "Faster on wingfoil" (edition 1) to make the comparison as fair as possible.
