Borough Food Market is an eye watering rip off tourist trap. I don't know anyone with any sense who would go there for anything other than a good chuckle.

As a Brit, it’s just so annoying seeing tourists get scammed like this.. strawberries and melted chocolate shouldn’t cost £8.50. You could literally go to Lidl or Asda and buy strawberries and chocolate, I’m telling you.. it would be cheaper. Maybe I’m overreacting, idek-

As a Londoner I totally agree, but I think the reason for these extortionate prices is probably because they pay a massive amount of rent for their premises or stalls they have no choice but to charge more . We are used to it but it still stings your wallet as a normal consumer

the pork sanwiches look good and reasonably priced for their size/content... the rest do not live up to their popularity. I love Mei Mei but sadly it is a bit expensive...I have resorted to make their dishes at home and the results are very good!

I remember going to the Market as a kid, back when it was still a proper market. Some of the best meals of my childhood were made with produce we bought there. Its honestly appalling that its a tourist trap now.

Listen no Londoner is going borough market for food. It literally is a tourist spot. It use to be really good. And the rent got super expensive and all the good places made enough money to move out and get their own restaurants.

As a Brit u have to give it another try because some of the food there is yes expensive but some is not as is also delicious. I also recommend trying the bread ahead donuts because they are famous and really nice! Bye!

Im not surprised borough market has these prices, defo upping them up due to tourists just eating there. Every time you see someone reviewing “English food” you always see them go to this location. Feel free to keep giving them those prices, I know for a fact I would never😂😂
