Anime has it's own dialect. That's crazy.

Even the English dubs are like that. They say things that we wouldn't normally say in English.

i think "damare" is used..? because i watch a lot of japanese streamers, youtubers and vtubers, and they use them..

well, that words are used in anime because native people use them irl right? except for "dattebayo" because naruto is the only one who use them.

I'd always just been told that ”てめ” is rude, not that it's anime-specific. Actually I didn't learn it from anime, I learned it from Peter Constantine's book, "Japanese Street Slang". Peter Constantine is a serious linguist -- he researched detailed histories of the slang from an academic perspective.

The only other one here that sounds like it could be useful is "だまれ”、which I'd learned also at some point but noticed it was never used, people preferring "うるさい!” ... which frankly doesn't seem any more polite to me, but whatever. :D

And seriously, the cutie little actress here could get away with using all of them, since she looks basically like an anime character already. :)

I hated the way i was approached when i moved to the USA with my husband always with anime. I like Anime and manga but being treated like that is annoying. My husband is part Japanese and his other half is African Zulu and he speaks Tohoku Dialect like his mother. My husband grew up on and off Misawa AFB and many of his relatives live near the base.

I can’t imagine language used specifically for anime but you won’t use it. The only thing I could maybe relate with is cheesy character catchphrases ‘cause then, yeah, who talks lie that? 😂

Along with these phrases
Nani ga tanoshii? Nani ga omoshiroi? Inochi wo nandato omotte irunda?
And
Dōshita dōshita kawaiisōni. Ore wa yasashii Kara hōtteokenai-ze, sono musume, mamu naku shinu daro. Omae nai chi yaru yo. Futari tomo da, ano kata ni erabarareba, oni to nareru.
(To anyone wondering, these are the phrases said my yoriichi and doma in ep 6 layered memories, and ep 11 no matter how many lives; in demon slayer season 2)
