How to calculate the angle that a vector makes with the x, y and z-axes

The conceptually difficult part of this question is to realize that an axis can be represented by a vector that goes in the same direction. For example, the x-axis can be represented by 1i + 0j + 0k where the j and k components are 0 which leaves us with the unit vector 'i'.

It is also note worthy that the magnitude of the vector does not affect the calculation. Therefore to calculate the angle the vector makes with an axis you can just use the angle between two vectors formula.
