A post-apocalyptic soundtrack

The talented artist of the stillframe is called Miguel Membreño. When painting this he was heavily inspired by the game "The Last of Us", which he greatly managed to show through the atmosphere and world he made and which also was one of my huge inspirations, when composing the music, together with the aesthetics from the game-series "Fallout", so I thought it really fits the soundtrack and so I tried to bring those two things together.
I really hope you like this one. Do you want to see more videos like this, or do you want more Pokemon/Nintendo remixes? I'm looking foreward to reading your comments! Also I'm currently looking for artists (digital, painting, pixel-art, videographers, ...), so if you want to collaborate and create future videos with me please let me know, I'd love to hear from you!

_It's been months since the fall of society, haven't seen any other person since then, internet has gone dark, communications broke down. I'm starting to think I'm the only one alive, but I ain't giving up, I'm gonna keep going till I get to a safe place, and hopefully, find other people._

The world we knew was gone. The societies we had formed, the monuments we had built so high only gave more room to fall. The dawn of a new era born from blood and instinct provided a new chapter for all life on Earth. Humanity had ceased to function as expected, rather then evolve and pursue they were stuck in this never ending cycle of survival. This repetition only led to the inevitable fate of the human race, being placed amongst the many other extinct species from the past. A distant memory, echoing upon deaf ears.

"Mom, what's that?"

"Its, well. It WAS a football stadium."

"What did they do there?"

"Very strong and tall people would go there to play a game, and we regular people would watch them for fun."

"Did the end stop it?"

"It did".

"Why don't people do it anymore?"

"I'm sure somebody still does, somewhere. We just need to find a community big enough, and we'll find one. I promise you, by all that is good and holy above I promise you."

Edit for those that care: It has been 2 years since I wrote this comment. In that time, I have done a lot of things, made a lot of improvements to my writing, started my own DnD campaign and had the opportunity to explore some of the most intricate and unique stories I've ever conceived, and people still comment on this. And still appreciate it, I wanna say thanks. This is just a little blurb on a fantastic piece of music, but for some reason y'all really like it. And it still makes me happy that people still find it enjoyable to read, so thanks. And Peace.

Absolutely incredible! I'm a huge fan of the overgrown aesthetic often seen in post-apocalyptic media, and I feel like this piece really incapsulates that feeling of melancholy, yet peacefulness as a result of the changed atmosphere. I also feel like there is a sense of hope/overcoming struggles in some parts of this track, which is also a motif I particularly enjoy seeing portrayed in post-apocalyptic worlds. Much love and respect!

An absolutely admirable piece of music. You just keep outdoing yourself... I don't know what to say.

A woman enters to an old house, consumed by decay and vegetation.. with a kid holding her hand

"Mom, where are we?"

The mother, looking at an old picture, the almost faded image of the young girl
"This.. was someone's home, in here, they laughed, cried, played, they had good and bad moments.. but they were together"

The son notices sadness in her voice so hugs and hold her by her leg. The mother quickly holds him tightly and looks at one portrait of two parents holding a girl near the stairs

She thinks to herself:
"God.. I wish they could see how much he has grown. That I'm okay"

As you walk amongst the ruins of the once great civilization, you pause to look at the remains of the city. A monument to humanity’s greatest achievements. You hear a faint tune in the air, automated programs playing music to a population long since faded into the dust and vines that cover their buildings. You sigh and pick up your pack. To another day of traveling that lonesome road.

I'm loving the variety you've been putting out recently, I'd especially like to see more of this style as I find it very easy to lose myself in.

This is a really peaceful, hopeful take to an apocalypse, but it still somehow has the sadness of the world that was lost. It's got a good vibe.

the song could be named "undying light"
thought that would match the theme of it

I'm surprised by the amount of views this video has... only 6K??? For such a masterpiece? Deservers more recognition.

I really really love overgrown stuff in a post apocalyptic environment. So listening to this while looking at it immerses you much more. I'd love to see an overgrown city personally

After the war. People rebuild. Not with sadness, fear, or anger. But with a spark of determination.

Focusing, Listening, to this while looking at that beautiful photo puts me into this apocalyptic world where everything is overgrown and the only person I know left is one of my closest friends/sisters/brothers kinda interesting actually.
