I think a guy obsessed with Michelangelo denotes big problems in the relationship, or rather, a look at the latter's ' David' in Firenze, implies they maybe of a rather smaller proportion! It also implies, that he might be a bit happier, and less repressed if he checked out the local gay scene!!
