Brings me back to my childhood in South Dakota. That was my favorite meal. I think it still is.

I love your recipe… Mom always made these when I was a child back in South Dakota and I’ve made them as well, but not for a while but that’ll change tomorrow… Thank you for your recipe

Oh ty Ty Ty!
I tried to remember how to make it from grandma's recipe and I totally bombed today. This looks so amazing and so much easier than what I was doing!
Lol thank you ♥️

Swede here. I think you mean kumle with an e. It goes by many regional names though. Some make them smaller. That may explain the 30 minutes. Sweden has their own versions too. Palt up north filled with cubed pork belly. Kroppkakor. Öländska kroppkakor etc etc. All with local variations. And of course every landscape bickers about theirs being the most authentic. 😅

I made this exact recipe today. Yours look a lot better. My recipe came from my friend in Badger, IA. Yummm
Your recipe came from the same cookbook as hers. The recipe above it is from Mrs Will Thorson. 😁

I would appreciate more of a recipe. For instance type of potatoes and what is in the broth. I am trying to remember what the Norweign part of my family (long deceased) did years ago. Thank you for any details that you could give me, I appreciate it.

It’s a small world. Your recipe came from Badger Lutheran Church Cookbook. Same as my friend Jannik’s who lives in Badger. She was born in Norway.
