Lapskaus is a very popular dish in Norway but not the national dish, that would be Fårekål. Lamb and cabbage stew, I'll make it later (even though i hate lamb🤢).
Since is 17 May, this is the perfect occasion to make lapskaus, the favourite for the national day!
Usually this dish is served at weddings and big gatherings so i tried to make a bit less than all the recipes, and by less i mean i cut in half or even four the original amounts 😅.
You can use any type of meat, pork is the most often used.

This recipe serves 2-3 and you'll need:

- 400g pork loin (cut into bite size pieces)
- 4 medium potatoes (about 400g)
- 1 large carrot
- 100g leek (about half)
- 1 parsley root (50 ish grams)
- 1 garlic clove (I would put 2 but i love garlic so it's up to you)
- about 500ml water (just to cover the vegetables)
- 1 bullion cube
- A dash of chili flakes
- A dask of pepper
- Plenty of salt, like she said

i think you can use any turnip but you'll need to experiment with that.

Tell me what you think in the comments below ☺️

Hope you enjoy!
