do you ever tried color grade "cinestyle"? it's a picture profile for cheaper canon cameras.. please make video how to grade it. it's "looks" easy to color grade real log footage.. but many of us don't have opportunity to buy an expensive gear.. :D. thanks

Bro you tuts are great but I'd like to see shots that are more basic. Alot of us get projects that are shot with decent cameras but the scenes aren't set up like the ones in your videos. I feel people are trying to make what they see but they don't have the content you have.

Hey Qazi, an idea for a video:
It's not super hard to make nice footage look good. Could you show tips and tricks for average looking shots, even some borderline ugly looking shots? How would you go about making them look passable, especially fitting them in a timeline where other shots look darn good? I often struggle with shots over/under exposed with little visual interest, but still important shots that a client wants to keep.

Switching to Resolve has been a game changer!!!

I still can't switch to davinci because I don't have time to learn. But I did change my workflow in order to make it work.
First, I grade my footage in davinci, render it individually
Then I sync it using plural eyes so I can just cut it in premiere pro
For the fun part, I just play with premiere and after effect dynamic link.

I started to grade for 9 months in my company with the free version, but definitly saw the difference when I upgraded to the studio version ! Can't go back to the free one now that I know what the studio version can do ^^

Nice tips, thanks! I haven't used OFX much before this, and wow - Noise + Film Grain really do push footage away from a digital look and towards something much more cinematic. There's some stuff that it's not suited too of course, but for everywhere else it's definitely going to find a home in my regular toolbelt.
