I was considering going through this process on my Uniti but from what I have read from other people's experiences, I think I'll leave well alone.

You need a blooming degree in electronics to maintain a Naim and it’s the flakiest connection. It will stop randomly and it’s a heck of a job getting it to 2:45 start playing again. I can’t think of anything less user friendly in my house

Totally agree and if you don't get it right what then are the consequences? Rather stick with what I have because it works!

Why can't the updates be done directly through the internet without all this bother with a laptop? I can't find a link to install a usb driver anywhere. This is really very poor in comparison to the Linn Klimax DS updates on my other system

Why isn't this properly written up in the manual? Is the hardwired n/w connection necessary? If so, why? What drivers are needed? Overcomplicated and underdocumented. Appalling.

Just updated the firmware which was successful but TIDAL is no longer discoverable on the NAIM app - I thought one of the improvements was TIDAL stability?

This is such a backward process. Surely these updates can be done OTA rather than plugging in cables to other computers. No wonder Naim have stopped replying to posts. I was going to update my Unitiqute software but not after seeing this! Truly dreadful

Can I operate naim uniti, uniti 2 or superuniti with an android cell phone?

Having looked at the instructions, and then the comments, I'm leaving well alone. I'm not risking ending up with a non working streamer. This process is appalling, not professional. I have two SONOS devices, and these update beautifully, OTA, with little intervention and in about 3 minutes. Come on guys, you should be able to do better than this!

I just updated using these instructions, got to the DSD update and then it said that my device rejected the update, have tried always round and can't get any further I now have a non working ND5 XS!!! Not happy, this is not a robust process, will now have to wait until 4th Jan to be able to get hold of anyone to sort this out. very poor beware don't do this unless you are prepared for the consequences. Naim you have to improve this is toy town not professional at all

They’re surely going to update/replace this piece of equipment, it’s looking terribly dated and out of sync with the newer range of products. I know this was published some time ago, but if this is still how they’re expecting people to update the software, they are going to lose a huge amount of sales to the competition
